Changeling - GLA
On: November 4th 2008
Throughout the year, with the exception of the main holiday periods, BAFTA Scotland members can attend screenings on a weekly basis in Glasgow and every two weeks in Edinburgh.
These regular preview screenings take place at the Cineworld (formerly UGC) Cinemas in both cities.
The films we show are almost always previews of the latest and most exciting, entertaining, unusual or controversial American, British and foreign language productions. The standard of these films is exceptionally high, with many BAFTA and Oscar nominated films being part of the programme.
BAFTA Scotland is fully committed to the promotion of Scottish work of the highest standard, screening new feature films, shorts, animation and documentaries that have been made in Scotland or have strong Scottish connections.
During the course of last year, we screened over 70 films for our members and despite an obvious requirement to programme films in the English language we do screen a number of very successful films from Europe and beyond.
Either solo, or In collaboration with other partners, we supported or organised very successful drinks receptions and networking events for our members and special guests after all of these special events.
